Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF?

My goals for working out are both for physical and mental health. Working out is not only such a great thing for your physical body, but it’s also wonderful for mental health in regards to feeling great after each workout and decreasing stress! My friend introduced me to CTF via ClassPass b/c I was getting bored with some of the other workout classes I was doing, and I immediately loved the classes. All of the instructors are amazing and each workout is different and challenging. It fits the idea of what I really like to do to work out – challenging workouts incorporating both strength and cardio.

What do you do from 9 to 5?

 I own a Real Estate Brokerage – Chicago New Properties. So I run the business as well as sell residential real estate.

 When do you make time to workout?

I love to do a morning workout. My schedule is always changing and somewhat flexible b/c most of my time spent with clients is in the evening or weekends. However, a morning workout is a positive way to start my day and gets me going!

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

CTF workouts keep me going b/c each workout is different and challenging. I love the atmosphere at CTF. All the instructors, front desk staff, and owners are extremely welcoming and seem like they really care about you as an individual. That is one thing you don’t get from a lot of gyms or studios. The challenging workouts help you to feel like you’ve already accomplished a lot when you’ve only started your day!

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

One of my goals inside the gym is to slim down/lose weight. The workouts help do this, but I’d love to increase my cardio endurance (Cutting down on dinners out and cocktails will also help reach this goal). A goal outside of the gym is to continue to build my brokerage business – working out helps to maintain discipline and keep a focused mind which is one reason I think fitness is such a huge part life.

Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF.

My overall goals are to be a success both in business and as a person. I strive everyday to strike a live/work balance that ensures that in life I can experience as much as I can. CTF is the perfect gym for me. Being a former professional athlete I love the aspect of “team” training as well as a level of competition with classmates that you just can’t get walking around a big box gym.

What do you do from 9 to 5?

I own 3 companies all involved in some facet of residential real estate and also, own several investment properties throughout the city. In all of my business I strive to provide an extreme level of service to our clients to make sure they are comfortable in their real estate decisions.

When do you make time to workout?

CTF is perfect, because I don’t keep normal business hours so having several options ensures that I can find a time everyday to get a workout in.

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

Workouts give me energy to power through my busy days. The challenge and high paced atmosphere is a perfect metaphor for everyday work challenges.

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

In the gym is just to continue to challenge myself to finish that extra rep or go that extra mile. Outside of the gym is to continue to expand professionally and to become the best husband and expecting father to be!!

Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF.

I was a dancer my whole life growing up so I was always very active. When I stopped dancing in college I realized I didn’t really know how to “work out” and I was so embarrassed whenever I went to the gym and didn’t know what to do. Then I discovered group fitness and absolutely loved it! Being in a group setting reminded me of being in dance because everyone is doing the same movements, the music is always loud and fun, the instructors are always inspiring, and the workouts are fun! I had heard of CTF in the West Loop but it was too far for me to commute to so I was thrilled when the north side location opened, walking distance to my apartment.

What do you do from 9 to 5?

I work at The James hotel as a revenue analyst.

When do you make time to workout?

I typically work in the evenings right after work and on weekend mornings.

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

I sit in a desk all day with no windows staring at numbers and spreadsheets and usually need my workout to let off steam before I go home! Even when I’m tired I just remember that I will feel more stressed if I don’t get my work out in. It’s also nice when I get to go with my boyfriend because it gives us some quality time doing something we both love.

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

Inside the gym: 10 chinups in a row by the end of the year and to get myself in to the early morning classes before work so I can enjoy the beautiful summer evenings this year. Outside the gym: To eat healthier, always. I seriously eat pizza about once a week and I know that needs to change.

Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF.

I had moved to the West Loop and saw CTF being built, stopped in and spoke with Charlie. I took my first class with Tres over three years ago. I originally started coming to get in shape for my wedding. I’ve always been into working out as a competitive athlete growing up. I’ve now become addicted to CTF and have set forth many fitness goals to achieve.

What do you do from 9 to 5?

For me there is no 9 to 5. I’m a nurse in the surgical intensive care unit at University of Chicago hospital. My hours are 7pm to 7am 3x/week.

When do you make time to workout?

The nice thing about my job is the incredible flexibility it allows in my everyday life. I usually attend the mid afternoon classes (12p, 2p or 430p) with my afternoon crew! It’s not an IF I will workout, it’s WHEN. CTF allows me to achieve this by offering various class times.

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

I must say the workouts at CTF have gotten me much stronger. I’ve noticed a difference at work by being able to move my patients physically without as much assistance. Patients can be on average 200-300# and having the strength to move them has made a huge difference in order for me to do my job. The CTF workouts also serve as a much needed stress reliever!

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

Some of the goals inside CTF include being able to do at ease pull-ups unassisted, hand-stand pushups and pistol squats. I also hope to achieve completing my first triathlon this summer. Outside the gym goals would be watching the Cubs dominate this Summer and trying as many new restaurants and beer gardens as possible 🙂
