Tell us about Cocovit (in your own words) and where members can find you?

The tradition of using coconut oil originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Inspired by my Indian heritage and my family’s  belief in coconut oil, I wanted to create a multipurpose beauty and skin product that had the power to naturally nurture skin,  hair and health. This is why Cocovít was born.

The coconut oil I used prior to Cocovít was also from India, and while results were good, I knew the oil was not 100% raw,  nor was it the purest or most potent oil I could have been using. Unfortunately not all oils are created equal. Knowing this I  began my search to develop a process which would allow the nutrients and enzymes to stay intact during the extraction  process and in the final product.

At Cocovít we harvest fresh organic coconuts from a eco-reserve in South India, producing an exquisitely pure and exceptionally potent form of coconut oil. Using a heat-less extraction process, we are able to maximize nutrient and enzyme potency by leaving the oil raw & untouched – as nature intended.

Cocovít Coconut Oil is inherently antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial, it is a multipurpose beauty solution, and is suitable for all ages, skin and hair types.

In addition to Cocovít Coconut Oil we recently launched a Coconut Charcoal Face Mask and an Orange + Basil Lip Balm.

When do you make time to workout?

As an entrepreneur I tend to work long hours, which means I need to have the energy and the stamina to last through some exhausting days.  For me the simple act of working out for an hour a day is really what does the trick.  I personally prefer to workout first thing in the morning, immediately after waking up (even on only 3 hours of sleep). My goal is to workout at least 4-6 days a week.

How do your workouts at our west loop gym keep you going in your busy professional life?

Working out not only provides me that additional boost of energy, but it also allows me to be more focused, improves my creativity and overall just helps me make wiser decisions.

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

My goals for both inside the gym and outside extremely simple.

Inside the gym:  Work harder than I did the day before.

Outside the gym: Always be sure that I’m learning. This doesn’t necessary have to be tied to Cocovit (or the business related), it could be a new recipe, visiting a museum or watching How’s It’s Made…
