Meet August Member on the Move: Amy Morris from CTF NorthSide
What do you do from 9 to 5?
After 8 years in corporate finance and accounting, I left my position over the summer to pursue a new career that I’m passionate about and brings me joy. After much self reflection and many hours of long runs, I realized I’m most happy when I’m running, in the gym training and helping others. I just recently purchased the NASM study materials to become a certified personal trainer. I also started my own business as a Rodan + Fields Independent Consultant. My goal is to help others be their best, inside and out.
When do you make time to workout?
The 5am classes are my jam! I love getting up super early to start my day with a sweat session at CTF! Sometimes I’ll pop into an afternoon or evening class if I have a marathon training run in the AM.
What inspired you to get into CTF?
My husband came across the North Side location a few months after it opened and signed me up for a trial class. I was instantly addicted!
Tell us a fun fact about you?
I am currently training to run the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 8th. This will be my 3rd time running Chicago and my 9th marathon overall! In addition, the weekend following I will be competing in Canada at the OCRWC (Obstacle Course Race World Championship)! Can’t wait to tackle some epic obstacles and run up some mountains!
