As a gymnast and athlete all of her life, Ali became interested in the body in its abilities as a way to advance her workout at the gym and to stay away from injuries. Along the way, Ali also discovered yoga and this practice soon became her main form of physical exercise. She became fascinated with the similarities on her mat to the form, function, and strength used and created in other athletic activities. Shortly after in 2010 Ali received her 200 hour Yoga Certification and started teaching Power Vinyasa Yoga with a focus on alignment and strength. Ali has expanded her knowledge with various anatomy, mobility, pre and postnatal, and advanced yoga training. She shares this education and passion here in Chicago and also nationwide. Ali travels the country leading teacher training programs, as well as anatomy and sequencing workshops, to help improve the education of trainers as well as athletes. In class Ali always addresses the importance of core strength to promote the stability of movement in all forms of exercise. Additionally, Ali now offers her own experience with new moms and mothers to be after she had her first baby in November 2018!! Ali promotes strength and awareness from the inside out – expect to be challenged in a whole new way with Ali (you may even learn how to do a handstand!).
