Amanda was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. She has always been health and fitness obsessed, playing soccer, lacrosse and volleyball growing up she took advantage of her parents offer to work with a personal trainer at 13 and learning how what she ate affected how she felt. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and graduated with a B.S in Kinesiology, Public health, and Nutrition. Throughout college, she also studied Muscle Activation Techniques and Resistance Training Specialist programs focusing on body mechanics and individualization of exercise positioning. Post graduation Amanda moved to Chicago where she worked in an array of health jobs including exercise physiologist, patient care tech, brain injury, and stroke wellness and created an in-home personal training company and began competing at the bikini level with NPC and UFE. A few years later she went on vacation to Costa Rica where she fell in love with surfing and was conveniently offered a job to work with a fitness retreat company. She took the position and has lived in Costa Rica for the past 6 years running her online integrative nutrition and fitness coaching company, a catering company and Airbnb. She returned just this past July moving back to Chicago’s west loop.
She’s what you might call addicted to nature. Loves all things related to extreme sports, adventuring, travel, and self-improvement. Her clients have nicknamed her sunshine, calves are complimented weekly and she’s rarely found without her best friend and dog, Coco.
