Top 5 Activities By Our Newest Location

Whether you’re new to the Wrigleyville neighborhood or you’re just bored out of your mind and looking to explore, we’re here to help. Check out this list of fun activities you can add to your to-do list near our newest gym in Wrigleyville.

Catch a Cubs Game
You can’t truly experience authentic Wrigleyville without attending a Chicago Cubs game. Head over to West Addison street to see the famous ivy wall for yourself. Even if you’re not a huge sports fan, it’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening out with friends. Plus, it’s one of the only ballparks where residents can actually watch the Cubs play right from their rooftops.

Before or after the game, grab a drink and a bite to eat at the Cubby Bear, one of the most popular bars in the area. If the Cubby Bear is too crowded, try out Sluggers, an establishment that’s adored by baseball fans as well.

Hit the Wrigleyville Gym
Meet new people in the neighborhood and get in shape at the same time by trying out CrossTown’s new location: Wrigleyville! Located at 3600 N. Halsted, our Wrigleyville gym offers everything our West Loop facility has: high intensity interval training classes, protein shakes, healthy snacks and a friendly community of members and trainers. Here at CrossTown, we’re about having fun in and out of the gym. Come hang out on the bleachers at the Cubs game or join us on a paddle board at the lake!

Relax at the Movie Box Theater
In the mood for a movie, but not the typical experience that comes with a trip to the movies? Then check out the Music Box Theater, Chicago’s go-to location for foreign and independent films. The inside of the theater is far from your typical theatre. The interior of the building is designed to mimic a Tuscan palazzo thanks to a beautiful deep blue ceiling, moving cloud formations and even small illuminated lights that resemble stars in the night sky.

Soak Up the Sun at Montrose Beach
Admire a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline at the popular Montrose Beach. You can choose to sit and enjoy the view, go for a swim, take your dog for a walk, hop in a kayak or play beach volleyball with a group of friends. Montrose Beach is a must-visit during Chicago summers.

Grab Drinks at Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden
There’s nothing quite like beer and bbq – especially when you bring friends and a beautiful Chicago night into the mix. Grab a table in the beer garden and dig into some pulled pork and mac’ n cheese while you choose from an extensive list of craft beers.
