Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF.

May main goal is to drop the 20 lbs I gained due to injuring my knee again and being sidelined for months. I was introduced to Charlie and CTF by another client, Chad who had raved about the workouts every time I saw him. Though I was already lifting and getting back into my routine, I knew I needed the push to do more cardio and there’s no better way for the push than doing it in a group setting!

What do you do from 9 to 5?

I am a third generation tailor and own Oliver & Rowan Bespoke which is my main focus. I also own a couple other companies, so I stay pretty busy and travel quite a bit.

When do you make time to workout?

I’m an early riser, usually up at 5:30-6 every morning. So I am usually at CTF for a 7am or 8am class.

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

Due to the fact I workout in the mornings prior to my work day starting, working out gives me a jolt of energy to get through the day. Plus, by not working out, I gain weight and my suits don’t fit and I hate letting them out. So, it’s an easy reason to keep the habit going!

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

Like I mentioned above, weight loss is my main focus inside the gym. I typically do 4-5 triathlons every summer but had to skip the 2015 season because of the knee injury. By getting back to my 200-205 lb weight and relieving the stress on my knees, it will allow me to get back into my triathlon schedule.

Vice President of Bswift & Flywheel Instructor!

What inspired to to get into CTF:

I had just moved to Chicago and CTF was down the road and had just opened. I came in for a class and loved the intensity. You can get a good workout a lot of places, but what really got me was the community and the people. I instantly made friends and who doesn’t want a killer workout amongst friends?!

What do you do from 9-5?

I am the VP of Finance & Accounting for a technology company called bswift, LLC. I am also an indoor cycling instructor at Flywheel Sports.

When do you make time to workout?

Way too early in the darn morning! I train 2x/week with the lovely Kailee and Ashleigh at 6am. I also teach 7 classes a week at Flywheel. And I go to my day job…… But this all mostly happens at the crack of dawn or weekends.

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

At my Finance job I sit in meetings and in front of a computer for 8-12 hours at a time. My personal training sessions at CTF are focused on strength training. This strength and power not only keeps me physically strong, but gives me the mental strength to keep it all together.

Goals in and out of the gym?

In the gym: I simply want to feel and keep feeling strong.
Outside the gym: My goal is always to be doing the best and most that I can. I never want it all to stop and think that I could have done more.

Tell us about you goals, what inspired you to get into CTF.

I’ve always wanted to live a healthy lifestyle, which included working out regularly. I tried several gyms previously but when I visited CTF with a friend , it was different. The trainers were great and the workouts are challenging and most importantly, I saw results physically and I felt stronger.

What do you do from 9 to 5?

I am the Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration for the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. I work with a great team, that is “dedicated to enriching Chicago’s artistic vitality and cultural vibrancy”.

When do you make time to workout?

Whenever I can! Quite often, I’ll catch a workout in the evening after work. But occasionally, if my evenings are packed, I’ll catch a class in the morning before work. I also have weekly PT sessions with Kailee, which helps to keep me focused and motivated!

How do your workouts at CTF keep you going in your busy professional life?

OMG – they have been amazing. Initially, I joined CTF for physical fitness. However, it has been so much more! The workouts provide a mini-getaway, where I can focus on myself and my health. After each workout, its feels amazing to have carved out ME time!.

What’s one goal you have inside the gym and one outside of it?

One goal that I have inside of the gym is to master a pull-up! My goal this year outside of the gym is to travel more.
